The Three Spinners Community Resource Center provides refugees, immigrants, newcomers, and all members of the community with support and advocacy services when they are faced with the difficult task of starting their lives over in a new country and culture.
Opening in early June, the Community Resource Center is part of the YMCA’s New American Welcome Centers effort to build a more inclusive and welcoming community. We welcome all people without regard to nationality, religion, or legal status. Check back soon for hours of operation or sign up for our newsletter and get updates right in your inbox.
We offer many services including:
Donations of clothing, furniture, school supplies, and other household items are a vital part of our mission and can immediately impact the lives of resettled refugees. View our current needs and learn how to make a donation today.
The Community Resource Center is completely volunteer staffed and would not be possible without the amazing support of the Champaign-Urbana community. Let us know if you are interested in volunteering.
We are located on the lower level of the University YMCA (1001 S. Wright St., Champaign, IL 61820). We are to the left at the bottom of the central stairwell.
Free parking is available behind the building after 5:00 and on weekends. Bike racks are available outside the main entrance. There are also several bus lines that stop nearby.
