Three Spinners is a local nonprofit dedicated to rebuilding the lives of newly resettled refugee families through the generosity of the Champaign-Urbana community.
Maximizing chances of success by providing financial support for basic needs upon arrival.
Creating welcoming homes with donated furniture, clothing, and other household items.
Working with other local organizations to establish C-U as a refugee resettlement center.
Champaign-Urbana is a generous community with a long history of welcoming new faces and different cultures. We provide financial support to resettled families as well essential items for everyday life.
You can join these efforts by co-sponsoring refugee families and donating clothing, school supplies, and household items.
Due to the way refugee resettlement is currently organized in the US, cities that are not near a resettlement center, such as Champaign-Urbana, are often unable to directly support resettled refugees. Working alongside other non-profit organizations in the area, our goal is to establish C-U as an official government resettlement site.
We act because our humanity urges us to share with and empower those living in fear for their own lives and the lives of their children. No infant or child deserves to know the ugliness of war or the pangs of hunger.
We encourage you to be part of our cause and speak out and act in the face of discrimination.
